Incredibly cute bao buns! We got custard buns and they were delicious. Super soft and well decorated. A little pricey for what it is, but I imagine it needs to be on one of the busiest streets in York. Staff were incredibly friendly and made amazing drinks quickly.
Nearly didn’t go here because of the mixed reviews but glad we did! The Bao were really tasty with cute designs. The girl who was serving was friendly and helpful.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are thrilled to hear you had a great experience with our team member. We hope to see you again very soon 🥰
Amazing food, drinks and experience. The aesthetic of the shop is adorable. The bubble waffle was amazing, we picked marshmallow, cookies and cream and caramel sauce. It was freshly made to order so there is a short wait but its totally worth it. I felt so welcome and the ordering process was easy. I would definitely recommend the mango smoothie storm!

Small shop in the centre of town. They serve really tasty food quickly and quite cheap. easy bite to eat!
Waiting for Meow open and I finally got the chance to try it yesterday!! I ordered a Ferrero rocher with brownies bubble waffle and Brown sugar milk tea. Both are so amazing. The bubble waffle presentation is great and taste good too. Bubble sugar milk tea taste delicious and the texture of the tapioca is prefect. Although need to be in the queue half an hour, it’s worth 🥰 Highly recommended.
The staff here are so friendly & helpful! Everything was cooked fresh. The bubble waffle is amazing -- can't recommend enough!! We loved the bao buns, they are DEFINITELY some of the best available in York! The shop space is just so cute, and the food is incredible!
The shop looks inviting and wanted to try the bubble waffle! We picked seasonal fruits, brownies and ice cream. The food is made to order and we were happy to wait. The bubble waffle was crispy and fresh and was quite filling! We saw other customers with bubble tea so will return and try those next time!!
Friendly staff, easy ordering process & menu is easy to read. Plenty of options for toppings, flavours and sauces. The drinking cups are high quality. Has a good amount of seating and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again when in York again, couldnt recommend enough.

It’s great to see that you enjoyed your visit at meow. Our staff are over the moon to see that their hard work pays off Thanks again Louise.
If in York i completely recommend checking this gem out! Very kind staff and incredible buns, so soft and fresh. (i recommend the lotus filling) My friend had a matcha milkshake with strawberry jelly pearls and she said it was so creamy and they gave her so many pearls (for just the extra price of 50p!) Amazing all around, love love love!
I ordered the cookie and cream bubble waffle and it was lovely. The staff are really kind and wonderfull to every customer. 10/10 place and i would recommend it to anyone who fancies a nice treat

Lovely service, the bao buns my fiancé got were absolutely divine. I got a regular brown sugar bubble tea, enjoyed it so much that after I finished it I got a large one right after. Great little shop, highly recommend.

Another easy-to-miss outlet on the Shambles that’s well worth a visit. How cute is this bao?! It’s actually a Mantou- a chocolate bun. I want to go back and try them all!
